ENDRA Life Sciences (NASDAQ: NDRA) announced on November 13, 2025, that it has begun staking its HYPE token holdings. The company is working with institutional digital asset custodian Anchorage Digital for secure custody and with Arca Investment Management as its strategic advisor. As of this writing, NDRA shares are trading significantly higher following the news.
Details of the Announcement
In October 2025, ENDRA completed a private placement that generated approximately $4.9 million in gross proceeds upfront, with the potential for up to $14.4 million if all warrants are exercised. A substantial portion of the net proceeds was allocated to a newly established digital asset treasury.
The company’s initial treasury purchase consisted of 78,863.1 HYPE tokens – the native token of the Hyperliquid decentralized perpetuals trading platform – acquired for roughly $3 million. Today’s announcement confirms that these holdings are now staked to generate rewards and support the security and decentralization of the Hyperliquid network.
Why HYPE and Staking?
Arca, which is advising ENDRA on treasury strategy, has highlighted Hyperliquid as one of the fastest-growing venues for decentralized derivatives trading in 2025. Staking HYPE allows token holders to earn rewards while contributing to network operations. For a public company, this represents an alternative approach to managing excess cash compared to traditional low-yielding bank deposits or short-term securities.
Potential Implications
If the value of HYPE appreciates or staking rewards remain attractive, the digital asset treasury could provide ENDRA with additional financial flexibility. This could extend the company’s cash runway as it continues clinical and regulatory work on its TAEUS liver-fat assessment technology, potentially reducing reliance on future equity issuances.
Several public companies have previously adopted digital asset treasury strategies, most notably with Bitcoin, and a smaller but growing number are now exploring yield-generating tokens.
Risks and Considerations
Investing corporate funds in digital assets carries significant risks. The price of HYPE, like most cryptocurrencies, is highly volatile and can experience rapid and severe declines. Smart-contract or protocol-level incidents in the Hyperliquid ecosystem could also affect staked positions.
ENDRA remains a pre-revenue development-stage company with ongoing cash burn. A large portion of its liquid assets is now exposed to cryptocurrency market fluctuations, which could materially impair the balance sheet in adverse conditions. Regulatory scrutiny of public companies holding non-Bitcoin digital assets remains a possibility.
As with all investments, particularly in micro-cap and digital asset-related names, price movements can be extreme in either direction.
Broader Context
ENDRA’s move places it among a growing list of public companies incorporating yield-bearing digital assets into corporate treasury policy. While Bitcoin remains the most common choice, a subset of issuers is now allocating to tokens that offer staking or protocol rewards.
